“Circularity by design.”
This innovative chair is crafted by Rianne Koens in collaboration with Planq. It’s created from textile waste, addressing the environmental challenges posed by discarded fabrics Textile waste is a major contributor to pollution and resource depletion worldwide.
The seat and backrest are made from compressed and processed textile fibers, giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. The chair is not only sustainable but also designed for longevity—its modular structure allows for easy disassembly, making repairs and component replacements simple and efficient. This design ensures minimal waste over time, as damaged parts can be replaced rather than the entire chair. Additionally, the components can be delivered separately, further facilitating repair and maintenance.
A perfect blend of eco-conscious design and functionality, this chair embodies the future of sustainable furniture.
