how we work

In this video, we'd like to explain how we'll approach the sustainability strategy with you. We have four steps outlined: the quick scan, the roadmap, the integration, and finally, making it visible. Below, you'll find this visually explained.

our sustainable initiatives

With the knowledge we have today on how products impact the environment we can transition from products that have a linear lifetime to products which can be taken back into the chain. Feltouch already made a great step towards responsible manufacturing by using at least 50 percent recycled pet bottles and avoiding rest material as much as possible. Cutting material during production, however, is unavoidable. Together with the automotive industry felt production is facing 5 ton of waste material monthly. This is going to the stake now, which in this case, is a waste of material and harms the environment.

ZERO BURN

RETHINK SOFTLY

Rethink Softly is a collaborative initiative bringing together designers from diverse disciplines, academics, companies, manufacturers, and material researchers to fundamentally rethink the creation of soft seating furniture—eliminating the use of harmful virgin polyurethane foam.

Otura initiated the Zero Burn project for Feltouch Acoustics.

Rianne gave us the insight that by processing both the cutting waste into new products and taking back sold products, we are one step closer to circularity.
